|CO2 cartridges from Walmart -no lubricant!||Nigeyy|

|Just a follow up on buying "non-specific cycling" CO2 cartridges from Walmart.
A little history (skip to next paragraph if not interested):
I posted a couple of days ago concerning whether or not there was any lubricant that could possibly harm the seals in the CO2 cartridges you get from Walmart. Some web sites and some postings seem to suggest so. I tried buying seltzer water CO2 cartridges but was unable to find any locally (ones at KitchenEtc are too small and are unthreaded).
Anyway, I bought some "Crosman PressureMate" CO2 cartridges (3 for $1.86) from my local Walmart in Massachusetts (couldn't find any "Copperhead" ones that some people recommend). I called Crosman today (http://www.crosman.com phone: 1-800-724-7486) and was informed that the only lubricant would be at the seal, and no lubricant is in the cartridge. Just an fyi for anyone wanting a cheap alternative and not worrying about the whole lubricant and seal issue.
Just a last thing to add: I never noticed any lubricant on the seal, and Crosman also told me they no longer manufacture these cartridge -in fact they said they hadn't made any in a couple of years now.
Hope this helps some people. Got to go, I'm off to Walmart to buy that last stock ;^)

|12g unthreaded Crosman PressureMate, I could only see them sold in three per carton. They are identical in size to the supplied 12g cartridge with my Innovations Ultraflate IH.
They weren't even in the BB gun/firearms section -they were in the camping section -apparently you use these to pressurize gas stoves or something (never knew you even had to do that, learn something new everyday...).
Anyway, it's good to know they work!

|Just in case you didn't know..... Also, you should not mutilate these. I'm glad I read the last one. I was going to use one as a target for my Bowie knife throwing practice.|

|swallowing one whole, but they didn't taste very nice..... Granted it does say on the side not for human consumption though.
Not sure you'd want to throw a knife at one????

|didn't carry small CO2 cartridges. Granted, I was in the gun section and didn't check in the hunting section. Hmm...maybe I'll go back. That's a deal!
