Cassette Hubs - Can anything be donetxcross

I have a set of hubs with cassette bearings. I noticed while truing my rear wheel that the bearings are not nearly as smooth as the front (with the same force, it only spins about 1/4 the amount of my front). I disassemble the rear hub and saw no way to do any adjustment. Is there anything I can do, should I take it to my LBS and have them take a look, am I screwed?

For what it's worth, the hubs are Gipiemme on Tecno 032 rims.

TIA

It's not the hub bearings, it's the cassette mechanismKerry Irons

If the hub axle turns smoothly with your fingers and doesn't have any play, then your problem is the freewheel mechanism in the cassette. You can try to drizzle some lube in there, or take it apart for a clean & lube if you're so inclined and the unit will come apart. Even with that done, your rear wheel will not spin as long if the chain is on the cogs. Try doing the spin with the chain held away from the cogs, and it will likely go as long as your front wheel.
