I noticed that there were a fair number of us who responded to the "Where do you live" poll that are within an hour or 2 of each of us. Allentown was mentioned, Bethleham, Hellertown, Lancaster,Lititz, and Hbg (me). I also know that there are others that post here that live in the general vacinity. Enyone up for a PA RBR gathering? I know of several centuries that most of us could drive to easily. Anyone up for one at a later date this summer? Of coarse, if other eastern riders wanted to join us, they'd be welcome, too!
Greencastle, Gettysburg and the area are good for us.MB1

Of course you would have to lay out 2 centuries for the weekend to make it worth the drive.

Not sure about organized ones, but I could come up with at least 1 century around here that would be "off the cuff", so to speak. I'll see what I can do =)

Hi there,

Currently looking forward to the Dream Ride Century on June 14th http://www.dreamrideprojects.org/Dreamrideforlancaster/Thetours.html#Sweet%20Dream%20Tour

And the Covered Bridge Metric, put on by the Lancaster Bike Club http://www.lancasterbikeclub.org/cbm/cbm.asp on August 17th

I also hope to do the SeaGullCentury http://www.seagullcentury.org/ on October 11th.

What others do you know of in the area?

These will be my first, but I feel ready for them, I've done a bunch of metrics by myself and hope to do the Dream Ride course before the 'official' ride.

I ain't fast, but I get there. :-)

Let me get back to you in the AM-I'm at work and can't spend a lot of time. Several others exist, plus I could make a 100 mile loop that would be unsupported.

Check out this weekends (may 3, 2003)Turkey Hill Country Classic Metric Century in Manor Twp. starting at the Manor Church of God (I think) on Rt 999 between Millersville and the Susquehanna River. The ride runs south parallel with the river, crosses the Norman Wood Bridge, goes north in York County, crosses the river again in Wrightsville/Columbia and back to the beginning.
Good luck in the rides you mentioned.
I've done them all, and not a bad one in the bunch. Well, I lied somewhat, did the Nightmare last year, not the Dreamride Century.
Look for me around East Earl/New Holland.

Maybe I've seen you on the road? I sometimes ride out towards m-burg but prefer to stay on my side of the turnpike-real men ride there (and women, too). Too flat out your way (except for Whiskey springs.)
Let me know when/where and I'll try andJL

make it. I'm going to the Turkey Hill Classic on Saturday (not the race) to do "Ride the River" metric. Still working on a little "hibernation weight", but I plan on doing more than one century this year.

I've been trying to hook up to ride with you at various times anyway. A group gathering would be good.

Let me know.

Happy riding.

Want to meet at the start? I might be going down with a friend or alone-I haven't gotten in touch with him yet. I'm not sure of the start time, but you can e-mail me @ look271@comcast.net Hope to see you there! BTW-that is one MUTHA of a metric. Really steep climbs and almost no flat roads. Bring your climbing bike =)
