|Question: is the Mavic Cosmos Wheelset strong enough for every day use for a 190 pound rider? Personal experiences welcomed. Thanks.|

|I weigh 172 and have used Cosmos for the last two years. No problems to report, they've stayed true, spin nicely, look new...and I'm not really easy on wheels. What can I say, I like 'em.|

|Just weighed in at 194 and have about 2800 everyday miles on a pair of sexy blue Mavic Cosmos. I've trued the rear wheel once at about 2000 miles and it was just very slightly wobbling. The front wheel has been straight and true from the first day.
They are great wheels, feel pretty fast (at least compared to the 32 spoke wheels they replaced), and are pretty darn inexpensive. From one "big guy" to another, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

|My new ride came with Mavic Cosomos (I weigh 200 lbs) and I was telling the owner of my LBS that I was considering upgrading. (I don't race).
He looked at me like I was nuts. He said I would have to spend a ton and I wouldnt necessarily feel that much difference. Same thing for durability.

|I weigh 180 and have ridden them very, very hard. Still very true after 4-5K. Very good value in my opinion. They are really a set of Open Pros with less spokes, nice hubs, all in black paint.|| |
