Depends on your learning styleKerry

For people who learn from books "Zinn and the Art of Bicycle Maintenance" is a good general overview, while Brandt's "The Bicycle Wheel" is considered the definitive work. Others learn better by doing, so finding an experienced cyclist and having them coach you might be best. Alternatively, some of us have just "had at it" and come out OK, though it is recommended to start with wheels about which you have not much to lose.
