Just a little update to my prior post a few weeks back asking if anybody has given up their career, job for their love of cycling.

Anyways about 3 weeks ago I gave my employeer my notice for the end of April, After 7 years of hard work my employeer comes back on April 12 and says Ray Sat April 13 is your last day fine Cheap SOB's anyways so I have been free last couple of weeks and its been great, I dont have money, dont know where next mortgage payment will come from but hey I couldn't be more happier being able to ride, wrench a couple of days here and there at a friends shop. I still have contacts in the industry from my past 20 years experience so hopefully something in the cycling world will show up.
But for now hey the way I look at it is I have 18 lbs of cytomax thats right 18lbs enough race, training tires and tubes to last me for a year, all my tools all my bikes, my 1989 suburban and me guess thats all I need.
Just got back from passing out about 500 flyers house to house I made up advertising spring tune up special for $20.00 and all other repair service and wheel building I can do.
Yes its going to be an adventure but hey I'm free no one other than myself to answer to or worry about.
Anyways thanks again to all the people that posted their replys to my prior post encouraging me to go for it.
I'm a 40 year old feeling 20 right now
Be safe out on the roads!!!!!!!!

Are you going to the Circe de Cyclisimo in Greensboro on May 3-4? I'm thinking about going for the ride on May 4 and then taking in the swap meet and bike show. Good luck with the new career.
Have Shelby Crit May3, May check out swap meet Thank you(nm)abicirider
