On the westCoast ,,,,,
Are there any big road races, Lance Armstrong type. someplace that I /someone like myself can watch a LARGE Peloton for riders? how the group moves and works together and against eachother???????

New to the sport and really LOVE IT.....RRR (Road Riders Rule)

You should get a subscription to VeloNews, which gives dates and locations. Lots of resources on the web as well - just Google it. Recognize that "the west coast" ranges from Seattle to San Diego, so you might have to do a bit of driving (duh!). Also, while races are fun to watch, with a road race in particular you really won't get to see the group at work. You're standing at one point on the course, the pack flashes by at 25 mph, and you might only see them once. Circuit races are better for spectating, and criteriums are best. Even then, you're just seeing them flash by and wondering a bit about what happened on the other side of the course as you notice that the order is all shuffled from the last lap.
