|Building an inexpensive bike for wife. Want to go Italian. Casati is Dedacciai Energy aluminum w/Reynolds Ouzo Comp threadless carbon fiber fork while Cinelli is $100 more and is Columbus Zonal aluminum w/Columbus Link threadless 1 1/8" carbon fiber fork. WHICH IS BETTER?
$200 more gets me to a Pinarello Surprise made of Pinarello Profile 7005 aluminum w/Vela threadless carbon fiber fork. Is it a whole different world with the Pinarello? HELP!

|In my opinion it depends on the wife.
How serious a rider is she or is she just starting?
If so get into it with the least amount possible.
You can always upgrade the frame if you want later.
Actually Casati's are nice anyway ;-)
I only say this because years ago I searched for a light small frame for my wife. Had built it with Campy + nice Look pedals.
I think she rode it 30 miles total. Its hanging on the wall in the shed for the last 3 or so years ;-)
