Has anyone used these new wheels? They sound interesting with carbon fiber/kevlar spokes that span the entire diameter of the wheel. They are advertised at about 1300 grms for the set. At $850 I'm wondering if they are any good.

You can check them out at www.topolinotech.com and I noticed Colorado Cyclist is selling them.
I'm curious too.Sintesi

We were talking about these last year. They're too new and not enough feedback has come in yet. They don't look very aero and I'm yet to understand how one trues the wheel. Aren't the "spokes" like cord that is routed around the hub to another part of the rim? If you tighten one side wouldn't it tighten the other? I think Grzy pointed that out. They're just plain weird.

Yeah, the spokes are like some sort of cord that kind of loops around the hub. I don't know how they would be tightened or where you would find a spare spoke.

I ran into a guy last week that said his room mate who works at a high end shop in the area just got a set. According to this guy the wheels are pretty awesome. I don't know if it's for real or if it is just the affects of spending that much on a wheelset.
Health Net is using them; if anyone has connections ... ? (nm)weiwentg

There was a long thread on them a while back. A few folks have them. Only praise for them too...
