| My new favorite tires. | KG 361 Apr 19, 2003 5:47 AM | | I rode 37 miles yesterday in rain/drizzle/sleet/snow. I've been using the Panarace Stradius Pros now for about 2 weeks. These tires are great. Not once did I feel like they were going to come "unglued" from the road. Nice smooth ride, too. They even gripped when I had to stand out of the saddle to climb several steep pitches. Thanks for the advice from a fellow poster several months ago on these tires! Best yet, I paid $60 for 4 of them. =) |
| Great looking new bike.. | Dave Hickey Apr 19, 2003 6:23 AM | | Very sweet ride. I saw your 271 listed on Ebay. I'm sure it will sell high. |
| Thanks Dave. | KG 361 Apr 19, 2003 6:44 AM | | You have a 361 in your stable, don't you? I really like it's ride. I've never been on a 381 but I can't imagine it being substantially better than the 361. If it is, it might be better than sex! |
| Thanks Dave. | Dave Hickey Apr 20, 2003 4:17 AM | | I've never owned a 361. I've owned a 241, 281, and 286. I just bought a KG76 that I'm going to convert to my rain-commuting bike. Did someone buy your 271 with "buy it now"? I didn't see it listed this morning. |
| Nope. Still no bids. | KG 361 Apr 20, 2003 10:39 AM | | I know how this goes, though. Last time I sold a bike on E-bay there were no bids until 20 minutes left on the auction, then things went crazy and it sold for more than I expected. |
| It will sell. | Dave Hickey Apr 20, 2003 3:49 PM | | My KG241 sold for $350. I paid $500 and rode it for 2 years. I was happy with $75.00 year:-) |
| And they're off! | KG 361 Apr 21, 2003 9:58 AM | | 1st bid, 5 days to go. Gee, what to do with the $$ ? =) Carbon crank, new shoes? Aaaahh, the possibilities! (Actually, I'll probably just use it to help pay for the 361.....) |
| I believe that was me | Mel Erickson Apr 19, 2003 7:50 AM | | I've got a pair on my main ride and really like them. I've also got a pair of Stradius Elite on my SS and they seem equally as good. These are an excellent buy, even when not on sale, but for $15 a piece they're unbeatable. Cambria had them for sale but I see they're gone now. Glad I got four. |
| Yep, you're right! | KG 361 Apr 19, 2003 3:23 PM | | It was you, and that's where I got them. Thanks again! I thought after using Vredestein tri-comps that I had finally found great tires. These are at least as good and hopefully they'll outlast the Vred's. |
