Performance tire update...Yes, they are serious undersized.Kristin

I mounted the size 25 GTX's that I bought for $5.00 at Performance last week. I remembered the poster here who mentioned they are undersized, so I mounted and filled one and compared it to my already mounted Michelin 22's. The 25 was more like a 19. I brought them back and put on conti's--which I fear was a mistake. They are WAY tight on my rims.

26 measure 24, but they're taller when mounted.

Its a matter of life and deathKristin

On a group ride, when you've been trying to get your tire remounted for 15 minutes, those people who once seemed to be friends will threaten to push you out into fast moving traffic or will begin pelting you with stones. :)

Honestly, I just have a difficult time of it getting the tires on/off the rim when I have a f...

In my experience, Avocet tires are much less snug fitting than Contis, Panaracers, or Michelins, and work brilliantly well. The newer versions of the Fasgrip series (i.e. the ones with black skinwalls) are sized accurately to boot.
