Need help finding a good carbon fork under $200 (1 inch threadless 4.5 rake). I was looking at the Performance classic forte for $99, but was uncertain of its 'performance'.

How's the quality of the advanced compisit from chucks compared to Performance's Forte classic. Is it all the same stuff anyway (made in Taiwan)?

This is my first road bike. I bought the Advanced Carbon FK63 full carbon fork from chuck because the price was right.

The only fork I have to compare it to is the 5" travel Fox Vanilla on my FS rig. I will say that there is NO pedal induced bob on the road bike though!...and the roadie (18lbs) acclerates uphill like a raped ape compared to my 30lb+ FS bike.

I kinda' like this road thing all of a sudden:^)

They have a Kestrel EMS Pro cro-mo steerer for $129 on clearance. Add to that the 20% code (CEM5) and you have a $104 sweet-a$$ fork! The only thing is, I don't know what the rake is. I'm guessing it's 43 but I could be wrong.
