Anyone know where to get a pic of an older Specialized?(3 posts)

Anyone know where to get a pic of an older Specialized?newridr

I met a guy yesterday that has a 2001(?) Specialized Allez M4 road. It's all Ultegra with a carbon fork and green frame. Long story short - he said he paid $1,700 and wants to seel it for $700. It looks clean and definitely has low miles, but is also a little on the large side. So two issues - 1) is it a good deal? 2) if I did buy it and itr just turned out to be too big, could I sell it for at least what I paid?

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would scan e-bay and see what they are running for. Maybe someone on this forum purchased one and could tell if they really sold for $1700 or you could call a shop that sells Specialized and ask them. Bike fit is very important and depending on how much it's off from your true frame size may mean running a short stem and crunching the boys every time you swing a leg over. Get on it and see if you can make it work.
Doesn't matter how good of a deal if it's too big!(nm)merckx56
