Dura Ace rear shifter "slapping"??rob99

My new bike is equipped with Dura Ace and the rear shifter lever "slaps" or "rattles" when traveling over slightly bumpy surfaces. My LBS wrench guy told me that is just the way the levers act now. My old Shimano RX100 didnt even do that. Is this true?? Why would the top of the line Shimano equipment behave so annoyingly?

Thanks, Rob
I'd say that's generally true,TJeanloz

I don't know why higher end parts do it more -- maybe because DA uses a bearing in the pivot, so there's less resistance to it flopping about?
You just listed 1 of the many reasons I wen Campy! nmJuanmoretime
