After more than 8 months of waiting the time has come. I proudly present my race bike... well not exactly, the wheels will be different and I will change the saddle and fork for hilly races but this is it!

Some of you may remember the frame, I posted a picture a while ago but have been waiting for spring to build it up. The cherry blossoms are out, I have a new bike and a race next weekend, life is good.

Custom built with Foco and Max tubing. It rides and responds beautifuly. I had a Litespeed Ultimate before this and was just amazed at the difference. Only 50g hevier and that is all in the fork. Truely a great bike.

My reason for changing the fork and saddle is that doing so will save me 295g. Not a world beating reduction in weight but I have them laying around anyway, may as well use them. My big focus this year is a 17km climb at an average of 7.1% so I'm looking for any advantage. HR monitor, glasses and one bottle cage will be gone to save weight.

In other races however the fork and saddle will stay.
