After more than 8 months of waiting the time has come. I proudly present my race bike... well not exactly, the wheels will be different and I will change the saddle and fork for hilly races but this is it!

Some of you may remember the frame, I posted a picture a while ago but have been waiting for spring to build it up. The cherry blossoms are out, I have a new bike and a race next weekend, life is good.

Custom built with Foco and Max tubing. It rides and responds beautifuly. I had a Litespeed Ultimate before this and was just amazed at the difference. Only 50g hevier and that is all in the fork. Truely a great bike.
Well done, enjoy. There is something about a straight....Juanmoretime

My reason for changing the fork and saddle is that doing so will save me 295g. Not a world beating reduction in weight but I have them laying around anyway, may as well use them. My big focus this year is a 17km climb at an average of 7.1% so I'm looking for any advantage. HR monitor, glasses and one bottle cage will be gone to save weight.

In other races however the fork and saddle will stay.

You had better not ride in the drops or you might fall off.
