OCLV Rattling Noise(5 posts)

Has anyone ever had their OCLV make a rattling noise. It sounds like something has broken off inside the tubes and rattles when the frameset is moved from side to side. Any experiences and suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Strip your frame, and shake it around. I have a similar problem with a fork on my Lemond. A piece of glue has fell off, and runs around in side of the fork and will never come out.

Does it make a very loud sound? Is it bearable when you ride? I just stripped the frame last night, and the rattling is near the bb in the downtube. I think I'm S.O.L.

if it's truly in the downtube, you can pull your bb and get at it. there's a ~1" diameter hole at that junction of tube/bb.

But I'm not going to do anything about it. Mine makes more of a clink sound so I think the loose debris is rattling around and hitting the BB shell.
