Hello All-

I am racing in the Escape in June. I rode the course this last weekend and found there to be more elvation gain then I had expected. What gearing do people run for Tri races, I am thinking to have a little lower gearing considering that I will be heading into the bike after the swim....I have a double chainring....

thanks

there's no silver bullet for tri-gearing...gotta find what suits you and the course.

Gearing down may be a good idea; I find quicker recovery from the swim, and fresher for the run by gearing down one or teeth on the rear from what I would normally ride.

Spend your saturdays in May doing some bricks to get the feel for what's comfortable for you....especially considering that particular swim.

Also, hop over to the triathlon board, probably get more repsonses.
