I see racers/riders with different liquids other then water in their water bottles. What aside from regular water do people use? What is the most common?

Haven't used Cytomax in about three years since I was heavy into mountain biking. They still make it? I remember it being expensive and having a short shelf life. I switched to Gatorade and felt like I performed just as well. I still have my Cytomax water bottles, though.

Never park your bike inside your hot garage with a bottle that has a little bit of Cytomax in it. It will grow overnight into a large black blob! Ask me how I know. That stuff is great, but it must be yeast based.

I often ride with flat warm coke, grape, cranberry, or apple juice diluted to 2/3 juice, 1/3 water, or gatorade.

I switched to Cytomax from Gatorade for longer rides due to cramping. It really works well.

For me it's one bottle with Gookinade for short rides or Ultima for long ones; one bottle of water. No one product works for every rider!

Racer here, whatever product we're given through sponsorship deals. Cytomax, Scitrex the Edge, Accelerade, all been used. I'd say Cytomax is most popular. Some use Metabolol.
Not a racer (yet), but I use Accelerade. (nm)look271
