I have a 2003 Cannondale Cyclocross frame and fork (the one with out the disc and/or head shock). I want to get a parts kit for it, am looking to spend about $500 to $700. What can I get in that range? Any places to get it on line? Would I be able to get Tiagra or 105 in that price range? On the other hand, might I be end up with Sora in this price range? Would Sora be a bad choice for a cyclocross bike? Any other input is welcome.

Try here for starters... after that, just start searching.

By the way, this site has Marc Gullickson's actual World's bike for sale. Lynn Bessettes's too.

Check the Cyclocross board for recommendations. You should be able to get Tiagra with a decent set of wheels, or 105 with cheaper wheels. Check out Jenson. They usually put together decent packages. I used a Jamis Nova with Tiagra and a Ritchey finishing kit that held up pretty well this past season. I bought a 105 drivetrain, but never installed it because the original setup took a real beating and held up well. Good luck.
