What do I buy for revenge? Assos bibs? New shoes? Suggestions? Maybe a Cf crank.......(Ok, that would be more than $185, but I have to come out on top!)
You didn't mention the $85 she also spent on shoes too!High Gear

I'm in the same boat. I see at least one or two plastic bags containing clothes in the breezeway every week. She sends most of it back, but still. Get the F-113 Assos shorts and post a review. Get the shoes next week, he,he,he.
Gee, my wife ususally gets a "six pack"....of shoes that is [nmbent_spoke

Where do you people find your wives?Kristin

Imelda Marcos fan club meetings? The local mall? I've never met a woman with hoards of shoes or ... okay I know a couple women with closets full of brand new clothes ... but STILL, that's not the norm! I never understood the whole clothes/makeup/shoes fettish thing. Its curious really. But then again, I socialize on an internet bike forum, so I have my own issues. :)~

That would be money well spent. Just kidding though. I think the CF crank would be nice but I think a pair of 404 wheels should do the trick.
That would be over-kill to the max!look271

Perhaps a wife that cycles? nm.msmootsiemartin

She has a bike. We are going to attempt to do some rails-to-trails with the kids. I suspect that her goals for cycling are somewhat different than mine.

What is your definition of "doesn't need"?

Does it mean:

A. She has similar clothes in the closet with the tags still on.
B. She spent $185 3 weeks ago, and $122 the week before that.
C. She already owns 2 pairs of jeans, a blouse and a suit. What woman needs more than that?
D. She gets an annual allowance of $600 for clothes. And that includes nylons, socks and bras/underwear.

"A". If she returns them, guess who she asks to do it? After 16 yrs of marriage, I've laid down the law-I don't do her returns anymore (one very small battle in the ongoing war...=) ). She just bought ANOTHER jean jacket. It's "dressier"!? Oh well, I do spend $$ on bike stuff and she really has been pretty good as of late, and, I must say, she never pays retail-for anything. She's gotten some pretty remarkable bargains. I really can't complain too much. Just raggin' on a Sunday......
Be sure to consider the money that...BenR

you have already spent this year on endurox/hammer gel, tires & tubes, team clothing, racing license, club dues, hotel & travel expenses for races, etc. You probabaly also bought a couple chains & cassette this year and a more expensive stem in an attempt to "adjust your bike position."

I know nothing of your marriage situation, but everyone has their hobbies and cycling can be expensive before we even think about buying new toys.
Would you prefer she became a high-end audiphile? ;-)nmSpunout

Take it from an ex-audiophile, audiophilia is so much more expensive than bicycling, it's ridiculous. It's also much less healthy. You spend months tied in emotional knots over things like whether the orchestra's first violin section on your old Boston Pops LPs is properly spread between left and center-left in the stereo image.
No, no. Which would be more expensive: Audiphile or audiophile?Kristin

Audiphile. Definately. (nm)look271

"I've never met a woman with hoards of shoes or"

I have about 25 pairs of shoes (well, regular shoes) and 5 pairs of cycling shoes. I love expensive Italian shoes by Sidi. What can I say??
