|Giant TCR 2 for a newbie?||ridenaz|

|I will soon be in the neighborhood for a road bike, and the Giant TCR 2 has caught my eye. I mountain bike a lot so I am starting with a decent fitness base, and I plan on road riding a lot because I'm moving to a place with few trails. Will the 105 group be fine? It would seem that any group would be fine because it is not subjected to the punishment like on mountain bikes. Does anyone have any comments for or against the TCR 2? Any input is appreciated.

|Bikes I'm considering are in about the $1500 range, although cheaper is always nice.|

|You cant go wrong with the Giant TCR2. I have been riding one for the last year. The Aluxx frame is also used on more highly specified machines like the TCR1 and TCR0 which means if you need to upgrade the groupset to Ultegra or Dura-ace the frame wont be underspecified. Shimano 105 components are reliable and durable and for value for money there isnt much else to beat it. Enough said!|
|This sounds expensive. TCR2 is a good bike, a friend has it.||PeterRider|

|If it was me, I would rather buy the Fuji team/Ultegra at 1100$ from bikesdirect.com.
