|It has been freezing rain off and on for the last 2 days and I've had enough! I just cleaned off my wifes van for the 5th time in the last 2 days. The neighbours kids are skating accross all the lawns in the neighbourhood. I want to go for a ride, but I guess it will be in the basement. We usually ride on a local mut in the spring with the kids on the weekends but with this weather we've only gotten out once so far.
Anyway I'll end my rant and go back to sulking on the couch.

|I've only been able to get in a few rides myself, and the freezing rain/snow is really discouraging! Hope it clears out soon!|

|My first new bike in 30 years a Giant TCR1 Composite is awaiting me at the lbs but what's the point in picking it up. Instead I'm on the trainer cursing.

|In Toronto...LBS called to say new TCR1 composite (first road bike for very long time)is ready for me to pick up... Same thoughts...what's the point? |
Let me know what you think if we ever do get rid of this ice.
Looks like there's enough riders between Toronto and Ottawa that we could arrange an RBR Canada ride.

|Hey Frith did you get anything off the selling price? Here they go for 3,380 with virtually no discounts.|

|$3000 but they made me promise I wouldn't tell anybody about the deal I got, so I can't say what store. I think they were worried they might have to sell to other people at that price. I have a good relationship with them and I bought a mountain bike from them last year. Also they made me wait all winter while they battled their giant rep to get me one. Everywhere else the lowest I saw was $3200.|

|That's what I paid 3,200 and the store owner who I've known for years acted like he was doing me a big favor. But since the bikes are in such short supply I'm not complaining.
Plus my LBS has lifetime adjustments, wheel truing etc. That's worth something.
Still bugs me a tad to spend so much money and pay virtually list.

|Here in South Western England the weather has been uncharacteristically amazing for about a month now. Was riding in shorts & short sleeved top in March!
Did a 50 miler this morning before the cloud burnt through and it was about 60degF. Been working in the garden all afternoon and nearly tok my top off it was so hot in the sun.
Tomorrow - another ride on bone dry roads...mmm...yes I think so.
Sorry to gloat but it is so rare to get good weather in this country at all, let alone this early.
Please may it last til October............

Enjoy the details. 15-25 cms of snow mixed with freezing rain. Windy. Long range for the next seven days not 1 day over +3C.

|Uh, I've got plenty thanks anyway.
Seems all I have to do is wait to hear from the guys in Toronto and Ottawa and then wait a couple of hours and I'll be getting it next.
At least I don't have a bike waiting for me at the LBS (it's 3000 miles awaay waiting to be shipped).

|So far, so good here in northern Illinois. It's 30 w/ a bit of wind but our club is riding in about an hour. They're talking about 6 inches of snow for tonight with a winter advisory. Shorts one day and thermal bibs the next...you got to love this part of the country. Can't wait to ride the Bike Main Street Tour in southern Louisianna at the end of the month. It'll be great to bike and sweat somewhere other than Spin class|
|No thanks. How about 3-7" of snow? nm||Superhuman|
