Hey all,

I recently picked up a used bike from the classifieds. It's an older Giant TCR with a Shimano 600/Ultregra group.

I'm having a strange problem that I can't get fixed. I've got a double, and when I'm in the big ring and shift down, the chain gets stuck between the big ring and the small ring. If I nudge the chain with my finger, it will hop down on to the small ring and it works fine. The low limit is as far over as it will go, and it's just shy of being enough to shift the chain down reliably.

It's almost like the bottom bracket is too wide for the bike or something.

Any suggestions? New Chain? New BB and Crankset?

Thanks!

loosen it up and twist it on the frame.
