Tickets for World's in Hamiltongregario
Apr 4, 2003 1:12 PM
I just got notice that tickets will be on sale for the World's shortly. I've already sent them this question but maybe there's someone here that can answer me...It almost sounds like you need tickets to watch the race by the roadside, or is that just for a certain area? You do need tickets for the grandstand but what about the course in general?
only for grandstands etc.climbo

the rest of the course will be open and free to watch. They will probably have a few of the main areas for ticketed entry only.

...the start finish area (grandstand seating) or the main climb (Standing). both these areas will have large screen TVs so you can see the whole race. I don't think that there are any other areas like that.
still some details yet to be finalized butjiggs

I read an interview with Steve Bauer a couple of weeks ago, and he said that there would be 2 main grandstand areas. The gold will allow you to see the riders twice per lap and will be at the top of a climb. The price for the whole week said to be around $300. The silver seating area will only get one view per lap and prices around $150 for the whole week. Both grandstands will have big screens to follow the action the rest of the time. I think that the rest of the roadside viewing will be free, at least thats the way it sounded to me.

See ya there

Gold is the grandstand start/finish area. Silver is the climb (Claremont access). this is where you see them twice - once going up and once going down. This area has no seats. It is standing only. Both areas will have tv monitors. And tickets will not be that expensive.
