In the market for a new computer for my bike this year. Somehow I managed to lose my old one over the winter. What is your favourite computer?

All Sigmas are easy to install, reliable, and fairly inexpensive. Online they can be had for <$20 and about 26-27 at the LBS. Easily upgraded to wireless, too, for not much more.

I have a Cateye Mity 3 also. I prefer the Sigmas, FWIW.

I have a BC 600...not much but it has the same advantages you mentioned. I've also found Sigma has great customer support. Last year my Sigma quit working, and I contacted them about it by email. They wrote me back and offered to send me a new mounting bracket with wires and magnet for free...I didn't even have to pay for shipping. I'll definitely stick with Sigma in the future.

I have used the Cateye Astrale, the Cateye Mity 3, the Polar HRM/bike computer, and I just installed the 2003 Sigma BC1200.

The Astrale was great, when I got the sensors to stay put. I had to use electrical tape to get the wheelspeed and cadence sensors to stay put. There is a lot of wire ziptied to the frame to make it work.

The Mity 3 has been great. It's light and simple. It works.

The Polar S150 is a PITA. I just removed the speed sensor and put the HRM on the handlebar mount. Getting into the data was difficult, and the buttons are tiny.

I just installed the 2003 Sigma BC1200. I like the display. It mounts easily. The mount can be used on the handlebar or the stem (if you have a skinny would not work on my TTT Forgie). We'll see how well it works in practice.

Purely for the display style, not the data archive function as it tends to corrupt.
