I forgot I needed gas in my car and didn't want to chance running out. By the time I finished fighting Route 59 traffic, got Besse gassed up and walked through my front door, I only had 15 minutes to ride. Not worth getting all gussied up for. The sun is setting as a check my email and decide which one-liner is my favorite. Sigh...Only 5 more days till we get an extra hour to ride!!! :)
Yeah, not worth running out of gas. I did once! :(jtferraro

that was the worst - and why it only happened ONCE! I putted up the highway exit ramp and then had to walk/jog to the gas station, which was fortunately quite close (maybe a 1/4 of a mile). Actually, now that I think of it a friendly driver & her son asked if I needed a ride, so I obliged. Then I bought one of those plastic jugs there and walked back to the car. I hate when ya' need gas so bad that it ruins your plans and was determined not to let it that day...but it won in the end! Besse, eh? Funny. My sister calls her car "Sheila". So, which one liner is your favorite? There is some real creativity on this board, huh?

Next time!

But it wasn't warm. Temps dropped like a rock when the wind changed at about 4:00. I left the house at 3:30 in summertime conditions, got back at sunset with temps in the high 40's.

Side note - I bumped into LOTS of people who had begged out of work early. Not a good day for Chicago corporate productivity.
