It looks like MB1 was too busy trying to stay in MissM's slipstream again to use his camera. It was a nice weekend on the bike for me. Got in 35 miles on Saturday and 32 on Sunday. I only took 3 shots on this weekends ride, and not one of them was on Sunday. Here they are:

The ice going out on Wayzata Bay, Lake Minnetonka, MN

This is the downtown Minneapolis skyline as seen from the Cedar Lake Bike Trail on the western city limits.

Downtown Minneapolis Skyline as seen from the north end of the Stone Arch Bridge. I'm standing at the birthplace of the city. You can see old mills ruins on the left. City hall is the clock tower just left of center. This is a 19th century railroad bridge converted for bike and pedestrain use. If you remember last weeks shot of the falls, it was off the center of this bridge.

It was a beautiful day and good to be outside again.

Hope you enjoyed the 3 photos

Wayzata? Isn't that where Lemond lives/lived? You ever met him? I know a couple people who've met him and they say he is a real class act.
Yes, it's his home town. No, I've never met him...Scot_Gore

... but I've met some people who have. They're fly fisherman, not cyclist. Lemond's hobby is fishing.

Fly Fishing no less! He was on his way through the area and stopped at one of our local streams. When I pulled in I just saw a guy sitting on his bumper fiddling with his gear. Then he looked up. Greg has unmistakeable eyes. I just about freaked. I did the typical awestruck fan "You're Greg Lemond!" bit and he was like "uh yeah!"

Anyway, he was incredibly personable. There was nobody else around so we ended up fishing together for the rest of the evening. I told him I was a big cycling fan yadda, yadda, yadda, but for the rest of the night, I made a point only to talk about fishing and not ask him endless cycling questions.

Sometimes I now wish I had asked him a bit about cycling though! After all, his bike was in the back of his truck.

The worst part about it was that a buddy was supposed to go with me that night. He backed out at the last minute. So all I have is an autograph and no picture. :(

Great evening though!

Saturday rained so hard I didn't even bring the camera along-100+ miles. Sunday we had SNOW-yeech (34 ugly miles)!

I have hopes for this weekend as we are doing the Richmond Roundabout-174 miles circling Richmond VA. Very scenic, I'll see what I can do.
