Cyclocross Fatty Fork(1 post)

Cyclocross Fatty Forkbluebike

I recently purchased a used 2002 Cannondale Cyclocross with a Fatty Fork (1-1/8"). The bike is team blue and baby blue. For all I have read, the standard fork is supposed to be indestructible, but that is not the case here . . . I suppose since this bike was ridden professionally.

Does anyone out there know of a replacement Fatty I could get my hands on, or could you recommend another good and possibly better cyclocross fork?

I don't plan to race, but I am semi-aggressive. I do enjoy flying over potholes and diving into dirt and I am doing a short bike/camp trip soon. However, I also ride the occasional century and I commute to work via bike, soon I like to go fast and light when I can. I need a balance of strength/durability.

Also, I am looking for a new wheelset. How are the Mavic Open Pros/Ultegra Hubs for my style of riding?

Thanks much! I would appreciate any comments.
