Did people on RBR just learn last week that there are a lot of scams being run on E-Bay? At any point over the last week, there have been half a dozen seperate threads about e-bay scams somebody found. We could start a whole new forum, which just discusses good and bad e-commerce types -- wait, we already have that forum (Good Trader -- Bad Trader)...

.. of these types of scams. I think most of us have bought or sold something on eBay. If the "image" of eBay gets tarnished by a few, we all will suffer. We will not trust the sellers on eBay any longer and if we have something to sell, eBay becomes less valuable to us because the buyer will be leery.

If you suspect an auction to be fraudulent, report it to eBay here: rswebform@ebay.com Be sure to include the auction item number.

I decided to ask the seller of this bike whether the wheels were Mavic Mad Max wheels. I assume this is a completely made up name and I didn't by some coincidence ask about something which I've just never heard of!

Well, his reply is below.

Although I am jealous that I missed out on a set of MMM wheels. I've been looking for them forever.
what makes you think it's a scam?fuzzybunnies

I don't get why you would think it's a scam unless you are refering simply to the fact that the seller is either new or had a name change.
