Finally, got it together 5900mla

After two months of waiting for the frame to come in I finally got the new ride together. First frame from Trek had wrong decals and color. LBS sent it back with a picture from the Project One web site on what it was supposed to look like and they got it perfect this time. The decals in this case aren't decals but painted on stencil lettering and clear coated. I love it. I am amazed at how much faster it really is than my 5200. Mail ordered all the parts myself on the web - PerformanceBike etc. and used my existing wheels. Saved a bunch over what the LBS wanted.
Full Dura Ace, Ksyriums, Synapsi 110x44 bar, Aspide seat, Black Stick Post, and a total of 16.14 lbs. Will use it for climbing TT and general TT and just for fun. At 51 years old it's a great equalizer.

what did you use to mount your vetta on the stem?

Yea, that perplexed me for a couple of days. I tossed the rubber part of the Vetta mount and got a black plastic lashtab that are sewn on packs to hold straps and to tie stuff on. It has 4 slots normally use for webbing, so I used small cable ties through the Vetta mount and through the lashtab to hold the Vetta to the lashtab and then cut a piece of 1" flat elastic and sewed a little velcro on it and slid it through the other slots in the lashtab and fastened it around the stem. I put a big cable tie around that to hold it tight. I also trimmed the lashtab with scizzors to make it a bit smaller. It works great.

Sweet bike! As for stem mounted computers, Sigma Sport has a stem mount option for their computers which works great too.

Looks almost like the 5900 paint scheme from the mid 90's. Nice!

I got mine last fall. I did the same thing - I bought 110 frameset and did DA build with K wheelset. Now I find myself looking for hills. I went with stock paint but seeing yours makes me wish I had looked at the Project One options. Enjoy.
