|My Shimano Flight Deck all of a sudden stopped logging miles and the timer doesn't start when I ride. The strange thing is the MPH seems to be working. Can it be stuck in some strange sort of mode? I can't find any clues in the users manual. Thanks in advance!|

|This only applies to the current model. I can't help with older models.
Assuming nothing's broken, there are only two things I can think of:
1) The sensor isn't picking up. Since you're getting MPH, this isn't the problem.
2) The "start/stop" function is on "stop" rather than on "start/auto run." When this function is on "stop," you still get current info (mph, cadence) but no cumulative info like elapsed time or distance. Press the left button once, and it should go into "auto run" mode where it records whenever the front wheel is turning and stops recording whenever the front wheel stops.

|If you already knew how to stop and start the flightdeck with the left button and that doesn't seem to help, sometimes the little tiny rubber button that under the break housing gets jammed in it's hole. Peel back the rubber brake housing cover and see what state the the left hand button is in.
