Lance and Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)MJCBH

Not to get too personal here (I mean after all, his story is in book format), but I was wondering if anybody here has read anything about Lance Armstrong being on Testosterone Replacement Therapy after his bout with testicular cancer. I haven't been able to find out anything on his links... and a good friend of mine is starting TRT with a lot of reservations. I was also somewhat curious since testosterone is a steroid, and is probably banned in certain amounts. Any info. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for sharing on this topic.
as far as lance goes...EpicX

i would think that tests for testosterone are of the threshold variety. if your level is above X amount, you are positive. as opposed to if you have testosterone, you are positive. so, in LA's case, he's probably just brining himself up to a 'normal' level. likely he has a waiver from the UCI for this.

but don't know that for sure. It's possible though he could be waivered in provided it doesn't exceed what they consider excessive levels. I'm a TC survivor and do use TRT, still can't figure why I'm still so slow ;-) Actually low testoserone typically poses a bigger health (physical and mental) risk than supplementing to normal levels. An exception would be if you have prostate cancer. There's a bunch of things to know about TRT and many doctors (particularly oncologists) are not very knowledge about the subject. Drop me an email, I'm happy to answer what I can or can find a person who can answer your friend's questions.

Thanks for the reply js5280. I'm sure my friend would have some questions for you. He's just starting the cream, and has some questions if you wouldn't mind. Let me know how we can email you! Thanks a bunch!
