|Climbing ability is all about strength to weight ratio, the lighter you are the fitter you are the better you will be able to climb. Climbing to some extent is like sprinting, even if you are not a born climber , through constant training in the hills you will no doubt improve, as long as you dont O.D on fruit muffins and Snickers choclate bars after training you will be surprised at the results you will obtain. Try long gradual climbs about 5 kms in length with gradual ascend, work on constant cadence about 80 rev/min, and try to seat when you climb. Above anything else be positive and enjoy you ride first and foremost.
