Where's the MB1/MissM ride report?noveread

It's Monday, I've waited patiently all day. I need my update on the road conditions in and around the DC area!

The Caradice photo op just isn't the same! :)

Though on the bright side, I did get to put the first 85miles on my new ride this weekend (14sat/71sun). And it was a joy.

Now no slacking MB1, we need a good ride report of your two centuries this weekend! :)

We did a pretty fast 200k on Saturday and a really fast century on Sunday. They were both great rides but sometimes it is nice to just think about cycling and not about taking pix.

The only remnant of winter I came across. This is a shear north facing river bluff, it won't see the sun until June in this part of the country.
What time were you here?bnlkid

I road there on Saturday and almost wiped on the ice. I thought it was salt at first, then I got closer and realized it was a big ice floe. I am surprised I didn't see you Saturday. I took that same route you did through St. Paul, thought I only went 30 miles Sat. and 38 Sun. Looks like you are ahead of me in training miles for the MS 150.

At that time is was solid ice and looked it so there was no question but "Dismount". What almost got me was the pothole in front of the Lillydale Yacht Club. I was fixated on the trail closed sign that was pulled off to the side, didn't see the hole till It was eating my front tire. I thought I was going down for sure, but managed to keep the wheels down.

BTW - if you ever ride the South St. Paul river trail it's got a closure at Bryant Ave. on the north end. You have to use Concord to about the half way point.

Minnesota River Valley. Spring not quite sprung, but getting closer. It was a nice weekend on the bike. 35 miles on Saturday, 47 on Sunday. Snow forecast for Friday, oh well, that's March in Minnesota.

I'm no MB1 but I hope this makes you feel better.

Thank's Scot, those are good pics. But no offense, they don't look much different than my state of Wisconsin! It was nice this weekend though wasn't it? Ah, a pleasure to actually ride outside again. Too bad the weather is supposed to move in on us the end of this week! Rain, snow, wind, cold. Fortunately(?), the first race of the season is on Sunday, so I should still be sufficiently motivated to ride outside!
