Colnago Aheadset Question(4 posts)

Colnago Aheadset QuestionVelojon

I am having a newly purchased C40 frameset built up. My LBS is planning to use the Colnago Corsa threadless headset that came with it. When I look through magazines, it seems all the team bikes have other types of headsets but none have the Corsa. Is it because the Corsa is a POC? Anybody ride with one?

I don't ride a Colnago, but the pro bikes you see have other headsets on their C-40's because that's the deal with the component manufacturers - they want you to use ALL of the parts in the group usually if they sponsor a team. Look at the old Mapei or current Rabobank Colnago's and you will see a Shimano threadless HS which is actually a modified threaded headset.

I am sure the headset is not a POS, especially on a bike of that quality. Same with the Pinarello integrated headsets.
I'm sure it is fine, features more stack height (no spacers!) nmSpunout

Sell it to me. I'm thinking of ordering one because of the taller stack height, less spacers required.
