Paris-Roubaix NOT LIVE . OLN cutting programming?merckxman

Looks like it will be a taped program this year (OLN schedule says 4-6pm for 13 April). Last year it was live (I don't recall but perhaps longer than 2 hours also). I also don't see any schedules for the classics they showed last year on tape. Is OLN cutting back, or do they not have their scheduling done?

It looks as though we're screwed! I wonder what triggered this though? If you look in July, they go crazy with tour coverage, but hell, I'd rather it be spread throughout the year. This was the ONLY reason I kept cable! Anyone know how we can contact them? Maybe if enough of us email, they will get the picture.

I too noticed the lack of cycling programming noted in OLN's schedule for this season so I sent them an e-mail last week questioning same. Following is the somewhat ambiguous response that I recv'd back. I would encourage everyone out there to log onto and send them an e-mail expressing your concerns.

Thanks for the email. We are still finalizing the cycling schedule, and
will be adding to it as more deatils become available. In addition, we
will be introducing a new cycling show to air Thursday nights which will
feature all of the races we don't air individually.

I called OLN and they basically said that not enough people had complained about the scaled back coverage of cycling. Their phone number is 203 406 2500. Their e mail address is I would call. It makes more of an impression.

and they also said Paris-Roubaix would only be 2.5 hrs not 3 and it would be taped not live. There is an updated schedule coming out on their web site but the races on Thursday nights would all be taped. That stinks. And what stinks worse is their is no listing for the Vuelta A Espana which was shown live and re aired last year in its entirety. We need to let them know thats crappy too.

They only posted the schedule recently so it would have been hard to complain without knowing what they were planning! I hope all you OLN subscribers are calling 203 406 2500 now.....
