Advice on a bike transporter?gojoshgo

I'm looking for a good (and reasonably priced) bike transporter. Must comply with FAA baggage restrictions. Was wondering if anybody had advice on brands/models/places to buy? Thanks for your help!

Is this for a road bike, mtn bike or both? What size are your frame(s)? How much disassembling do you want to perform?

I wanted a case that required little disassembly so
I recently bought a Sci-con aero case from Ital-techno. Here is the link.

http://www.ital-tecno.com/components_main.htm .

It only requires removing the wheels for my road bike (leave pedals on, turn the handlebars) but requires a lot of disassembly for my mtn bike.

The Trico Iron case was my second choice.

I was not a fan of the soft cases...too much damage potential.

Excel sports also has a Tri All 3 case that requires little disassembly...check it out at their website.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. I'll be using it primarily for a 56cm road bike, for which I'd prefer as little disassembly as possible. On the few occasions I might take my mountain bike, a little work won't kill me. :)
