Sidi Genus 4 - fit(4 posts)

Sidi Genus 4 - fitthe flying bean

I've just purchased my first decent pair of shoes. When trying them on they felt a little on the tight side, particularly my rightfoot which is a bit wider. However I thought they would give and then be alright. But I'm worried now that they will remain tight and when the weather gets hotter they could be too tight.

Has anyone had experience of a tight fit with these shoes and do they give with use? Thanks in anticipation for your comments.

The SIDI shoes are made with Lorica, an artificial 'leather'. My SIDI's haven't seemed to stretch out in the year and a half that I've had them. You might look into another pair in the 'Mega' sizing, which is slightly wider.

...what davet said. They don't seem to stretch. I've also been using a pair of Dominator 2 MTB shoes for a couple of years. They been through the worst mud and water you can imagine and they are still tight as new.
I'm using the "Mega"Daddylonglegs

I've been using the Mega for a year. No stretch even with a lot of wet grimy rides. A little Simple Green and warm water is all it takes. I did try on both the reg. and the Mega. Big difference in fit even though it's only something like 3mm wider.
Great shoes!
