|Last ride I had the plastic cap off my 105 shifter/brake lever pop off, and unfortunately a pick up ran over it. Anyone know where I can get another one. Its the plastic piece just at the top of the shifter lever.|

|I think that the shop cost is $1 or $2. that means the the shop should charge you $2 or $4 Max. If the shop doesn't order from Quality much, they might have added on the shipping cost.|

From the 2003 QBP catalog, the wholesale cost on the 105 and Ultegra caps ranges from $3.70 to $5.25 each depending on model.

|I had to get some in late 2000, when I worked in a shop. I could swear that they were real cheap back then. But then again, I can't remember much of anything anymore.

|just through riding around. had this happen on two bikes on both hoods (both 105). never lost it, though--always was able to go back and find 'em. lucky.
my ultegra came off in a gravity check.

|Yes. Dura Ace caps are screwed into the body, but Ultegra and 105 caps snap onto a metal piece that screws onto the Ultegra and 105 body. That's why Ultegra levers sometimes make noise. The screw under the cap gets loose, and the cap rattles.|

|The piece started to rattle and loosen early in the ride, and I figured I could wait until I got home to fix it. As I was laboring up a hill the thing jumped off, so I couldn't stop right away. Turned around and came back to it and watched the truck run over it just as I was getting there. A bummer. I had one loosen last year, but fixed it b/f it flew off.|| |
