carbon fiber dented?blw

Is it possible for carbon fiber to dent like steel or aluminum? There seems to be a dent in the chain stay just behind the chain rings, but the paint isn't cracked. Maybe it has always been there and I just noticed it? It is a Kestrel frame.

Doubt it. Chainstay is shaped to allow room for the chainrings perhaps. Carbon doesn't dent, it would shatter.

It's molded in for clearance for the small chainring
