|We are thinking about coming back into town Saturday on the W&OD and would like to know if it is clear of snow and ice. The sections around Herndon and Vienna are fairly shaded and we are wondering if they are open.
It would be pretty bad to find out that it is blocked at 130 miles into a 150 mile ride.

|I wouldn't worry about there's enough open space by powerline and it was warm and windy. Mnt Vernon is clean.
so you guys are not doing Crista's double metrics?
|We haven't seen the weekends rides yet but....||MB1|

|Miss M has in mind doing 150-175 on Saturday and a recovery century on Sunday. To get Saturdays distance we will start from home at 5:30 and ride to Antietam via MD, cross over to WV & VA then take the W&OD home from Purceville.
I'm looking forward to finally having a nice weekend after all the nasty weather has kept our distances down.

|I was on the Custis and part of W&OD yesterday. A couple of iceyspots around Ballston and 66 coridor, especially in protected areas. Otherwise, mostly clear around town.|

|I got on the W&OD last night at Park Street and started heading West but turned around after about 50 yards because of the snow. I thought the warmer temps and rain would have cleared the trail by now.
Hopefully by Saturday they will be clear.

|Hey MB1 -- I drove by it this (Friday) morning in Vienna. It is pretty snow covered. I doubt it melts today either.|
|Thanks, we decided to avoid it for at least another week.nm||MB1|
