I just got this new road bike magazine called Asphalt. It was at a shop here in LA and it is absolutely amazing! Better photos than Bicycle Guide and Bicycling, way nicer paper than the other mags, not many ads and over 80 pages.

There's a frame from Rivendell, a bike from Aegis and a really long feature on riding in France. Didn't have any race coverage, which is ok w/me as I read mine online. Maynard Hershon has a column at the back too. One of the publishers is Patrick Brady who I read at Bicyclist and Bicycle Guide.

I'm mailing a subscription in today. It is expensive, $34.95 for 4 issues, but it's so high quality, it reminds me of a nice ti bike. Seems worth it.

You all have to support these guys. It looks like a small operation, not some big corporation. Somebody finally went to bat for us. Let's buy the mag!

The website is

'Caus that would mean that Cory thinks we're total morons who would buy into his line of crap. And total morons would never subscribe to such a great mag. Gotta be legit.
I vote for Gregg to remove this ...nmzooog

Geez ... someone tries to tell you about a decent publication and you jump all over him. Go read your Bicycling magazine, or is that too technical and wordy for you?

Hmmm...looks like a promising beginning but I am not going to shell out $35 just yet. A lot of the articles seem like fluff. Typical for a new magazine. Remember Bicycling magazine a year ago? Fluff central!
