I am looking to buy from this on-line company but would love third party advice. Has anyone out there had good/bad experiences with GVH bikes? Their prices are quite good, but still, buying a new bike on-line is a lot of money to be throwing around without knowing if the company is legit.

Thanks,

B.

I've never purchased a bike from Gary, but in general I believe he has a pretty good reputation.

If you do a search on this board, or on google you will find quite a few threads answering your question.

I bought a bike from Gary a couple of months ago. No complains - good price, good communication, good packaging. I too did a little research before ordering, finding that the general consensus was that GVH is a good dealer.

Bought my Landshark from him a couple of years ago. No problems at all. The stem was a little short and he exchanged it with no questions asked.
Finally didn't buy, but a friend was happycory

I corresponded with them for a couple of weeks before I finally bought something else. They were pleasant and helpful and tried to find what I wanted, and I would have dealt with them if I hadn't fallen in lust with another bike. FWIW, a friend just bought from them last month, and he's been happy with the service and the price.
yup great guyyeah right

I purchased a frame from Gary over a year ago. It was a good experience. I then had a warranty issue with the frame and had it resolved (frame from my door to Coos Bay to road) within 2 weeks. Gary was both pleasant and efficient in all dealings and contacts.
I just did last week...Dave Hickey

caad5 frame from Gary about 6+ months ago. Good price, good service. Built up into a super bike, super transaction, too. Gary will go the extra mile to make a customer happy. I recommend GVH Bikes highly and would buy from them again.

I bought a Cinelli SuperCorsa from Gary a little over a year ago. So he has been in business a while and is reliable. He was also fine to deal with. You should not worry about buying from GVH.
No problemsPatM

Very easy to deal with, I have bought a full bike and a frame and had no problems with either deal.
Great guy to talk to on the phone, knows his stuff and won't stear you wrong. My best advice is to ask questions via email first and as much as possible know what you want before you call - makes things go smoother.
four so far. highly recommended. nmJS Haiku Shop
