Do spelling, grammar, and usage errors invalidate posts?miposy

I just got attacked by Spoiler because I failed to make a message perfect before posting it. He didn't address my actual comment at all.

Is my post, because it contained errors (but not content errors), invalid?
Regarding Spoiler...miposy

He and I have tangled before regarding his TDF posts in the General Forum, so he may have just spotted an opportunity for revenge.

That does bring up a related question which is, "if your language skills are perfect, does that mean you are not an a$$hole?"
No. It doesn't invalidate your post.Spoiler

I never said it did. I guess maybe I spell better than you, and you have a better memory than me.
Do you really think that I've been sitting at home, scanning all the RBR boards since July, waiting to see a post by you appear so I can exact my bloody revenge for some slight that I incurred SEVEN MONTHS ago?
Your name doesn't ring a bell. I don't remember any discussion with you over the Tour.
But mark my words, I will remember THIS unforgivable insult to my manhood. You ilbred, caddish, boor! I will carry this offense with me through all my days. All my energy will now come into sharp focus. I will not rest until I take my revenge!
correction: you have a better memory than I.bludoggy

According to me anyway. Note that you do not need a comma after grammar.

I think one of the most irritating think about on-line boards and usenet are people that feel the need to correct every spelling and gramatical error. Who cares? If the point is conveyed, does the correctness of the English matter that much?

The on-line community consists of people where English could be a second, or third language. Typos are made by everyone. Plus there are people like that me that are generally poor spellers. This forum has no spell check, and I'm not going to cut and paste every post into a program that does.

People have different apptitudes for different subjects. My spelling sucks - always has. When somone asks about gear ratios why don't we ridicule them for their lack of skill in Algebra. To me Algebra (and most math) is a piece of cake compared to spelling.

All of you spelling nazis, give us a break.
yes, You have to be prefect. nmSintesi
