What music do you hear,mwood
Mar 3, 2003 11:32 AM
when you're "dancing on the pedals"?
Unfortunately, yesterday it would have been something like the irrascible Debbie Boone's langorous "You Light Up my Life", as I struggled with a post-bonk pitch late in the day...

on a double century last september, that Cake song, but only the one tag over and over again, like a record skipping:

"only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go...only eight more hours to go"

My Son's PBS Standards. The only other "tune" that hits my head especially when it's hot is "Born Under Punches", Talking Heads, from "Remain in Light". ..."All I want is to breathe. Won't you breath with me...

We are riders on a mission, action kids in play position. Rocket Power. Sagwa you're my best freind. Lately it's been that damn Noggin network jingle and Tiny Planets.
Oh well, the kids gotta have something to do while i'm on the trainer.

"Thomas We Love You" ---- that's a really bad one to get stuck on the endless loop. I've done countless rides with that going around and around in my head. I have one son who's graduated from it (thank god!) but another one who's gearing up for it as we speak. There should be a law............
But the real question is, who's the hottest cartoon babe?Gadfly

Who's hottest:

Mulan
Belle (Beauty & the Beast)
The Little Mermaid
Pochohantas
Snow White...

I vote for Pocohantas.

Do not *ever* visit one of those "hamster dance" websites before a ride, otherwise you're in for a very long day.

Try having "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" stuck in your head for a 2 hour ride. Worst ride of my life.

I play whole albumsrussw19

I have this tendency to play entire albums in my head on long rides. But I also play in a band so I learn songs this way too.

My last ride I was listening (in my mind) to Thrice's Identity Crisis. I was riding kinda fast that day too! Then my knee gave up and I was singing "Ouch" the rest of the limp home.

He can play music that ranges from Aerosmith, to "I'll fly away" from the "o brother" soundtrack, to George Thurogood, to Warren Zevon, to The Rainmakers. Could be almost anything.
