I'm attending a convention at the Licolnshire Marriott in April. I won't have tons of time for riding, but does anyone have advice on a good 90 minute loop out of Licolnshire.

Thanks in advance.

There are lots of rides in that areaMR_GRUMPY

Unfortunatly, I'm from a little farther South, so I don't know all the starting points. I do know that I always see riders on St Mary's road, just a few miles north of where you will be at. I know that there are Hammer rides up there on Tues., Thurs., Sat., and Sundays.
Ok with that in mind, how's this lookScot_Gore

You're definitely in my stomping grounds! I'd be happy to fax you a map with a route highlighted.

Marriott Resort is right in the middle of some good routes, so even if you don't have much time, you can go right out your door without needing a car to get to where you can ride.

Post a fax number here and I'll send it to you from the office tommorrow.
Thanks RolloScot_Gore

The north side and beyond is one area that I am not familiar with. But it sounds like your in good hands with Rollo. Enjoy the conference and our flat, salty roads.
Good off-road option.Alex-in-Evanston

You're about a half mile from the Des Plaines River Trail, a dirt and gravel path that follows the river all the way up to the Wisconsin border (70 miles round trip). If you prefer dirt to pavement, this is a great ride. Let me know if you'd like more info - or a riding partner.

I'm only bringing the road bike, so on-road only.

Thanks for the ride offer, but I won't be a good partner. I'm at a conference, so I'm going to take window(s) of opportunities to ride as they become available between (durring ???) sessions so can't be counted to be at a start point at a particular time and might only have an hour or two to ride.

Thanks Again

This is a list of ride maps for a local club. If you look at the map, you'll notice that your hotel is just off a commonly used route.

This is a big help, thanks a bunch (nm)Scot_Gore
