Knee's the new brace! Yipppeee..... ;-)jtferraro

Prior to this I was in an "immobilizer", which didn't allow me to bend my knee at all. This new, OS prescribed, hinged brace allows me to bend my knee to 90 degrees, which makes things a heck of a lot easier and more comfy! Although the immobilizer prevented me from bending my knee, it looked a lot "cushier" than this "medievil looking torture device!" I had one friend say it reminded him of Robocop. ;-) NEway, the reason I'm wearing this is so my completely severed MCL can heal on it's own, then on 3/25 (although I hope to move it to 3/14), I go "under the knife" for my meniscus and, more than likely, ACL reconstruction via my hamstring tendon graft.

Then it's PT, PT, PT!

... I don't want to come across preachy, and I understand your frustration but be thankful you've got options and a good prognosis!

Good luck with your upcomming snips and recovery!

Yeah, I'm thankful it's not worse - really!! I've really been very positive about this whole thing and am looking forward to working hard at rehab.

That's quite a story. Good luck and glad to hear you're on the way to recovery.

And my wife thinks you have the same couch we do. She's used to seeing me passed out on it after a ride, with the TV on in the background.

Is yours a Pottery Barn "Manhattan" sofa?

If it wasn't so damn comfortable, I might actually ride more. They should have put a beer can holder on the armrests.

Hope everything turns out well. On the upside, riding is good rehab when the time comes. Installation of a gortex ACL is what got me started riding.
Are you serious? CAN'T be! (nm)jtferraro
