Delhi, Ontario track ?MR_GRUMPY

Is there still a track in Delhi? A friend of mine used to race there back in the dark ages. I couldn't find a web site and was wondering if it was still around or if it is under a shopping center.

Its the worst track in Canada. Very little banking, no railing, literally "speed bumps" (big bumps) on the back straight. Its not a track. I've been to other tracks in Trinidad and Tobago and I'm sure I'll see some in Australia that question what a track is but Delhi isn't one. Its great to get started racing on but its nothing compared to a real track.

Time marches on. I was told that 50 years ago, it was one of the best. Likewise, 50 years ago, track riders would screw on a single speed freewheel and bolt on crappy brakes, and use their track bikes for crits and road races.
Its degraded a lot in 50 yearsSprint-Nick

I forgot to mention its made out of ashphalt and not concrete so it doesn't have a smooth texture either.

But obviously over 50 years the ashphalt has been degraded from our harsh Canadian winters. Perhaps at one time it did have a railing? Its too bad more upkeep couldn't have been done since its the only track in Ontario.

As stated by Nick the track is still in Delhi and yes it has seen better days. It is 250m and is asphalt with many bumps, not as bad as the track in NYC seen in a recent Bicycle magazine. Been going there for a number of years and maintenance of it has slipped. For those not sure where Delhi is it is southeast of London, Ontario.
