|I'm looking for a replacement for my Giro Torrent because of lousy ventilation. I ride road and trail, and want one helmet for both, with ventilation being high on priority list. To narrow things down, I'm leaning towards Bell or Giro...
Any suggestions from you guys, or tips on picking something out?

|You just gotta try them on and go with what fits. In most cases, ventalation and price are directly proportional.
Since I got a Giro, I don't use any other brand. They fit my head like a glove and the retention system has always worked for me. I've had a Terramotto. I have a Exudus(sp?) that still use sometimes. I do most of my riding with a Pneumo. For me it's all about fit.
Pick a price range, try some on, and hope the colors are acceptable.

|in Giro and Bell. I will just add that you might look closely at the Giro E2. I use it for both road and mountain and it has worked very well for both. The E2 has a lot of air vents to keep your head cool but also looks and feels sleek enough that you won't look out of place on the road. Good luck and Ride ON!!!!|

|Is it accurate to assume that MTB helmets are designed for slower speeds when compared to road helmets? And if so, is going 25mph in a MTB helmet going to cook my egg, or going 12mph in a road helmet going to do likewise? I know it wouldn't be that extreme, but I'm curious what you guys think.
