Sore feet(1 post)

In the begining of the summer I started riding Look 396 pedals with Sidi Genius shoes, before I was just using cheap spd pedals and mtb shoes. The problem that I am running into is that after an hour or so on the bike the outside part of the ball of my foot gets really sore. It helps if I loosen my shoe but then it feels like my shoes are too loose and my feet move more than they should. Is it possible that the sole of the shoe is flexing? How do I know if I have my shoes on too tight to begin with? Or do I need to move my cleats a little one way or another.

Prior to this summer the last time I rode on Looks was in 1987 and I dont remember having this problem then. And I was using Sidi lace up shoes...

I have just been dealing with it and letting my toes go numb, but was hoping some of the infinite wisdom on this board could provide some guidance.

Gracias
